Smoothie King Unveils Q3 Store Commitments

The leading fast-casual smoothie chain, Smoothie King, is continuing to ramp up its national expansion.

Smoothie King is touting its continued store growth, adding 32 new store commitments to its piepeline in the third quarter of this year, including multi-unit deals in Brooklyn, New York, where a three-unit plan will introduce Smoothie King’s first-ever traditional Manhattan store. Deals were also signed to open additional stores in Dayton, Ohio and Fort Worth, Texas.

The quarter marked a surge in new operators joining the brand, with 55 per cent of total signings coming from first-time Smoothie King franchisees. Smoothie King entered two new states, Utah and Minnesota, in the quarter and also expanded its presence at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) with new locations opening in Terminal A and Terminal D, marking three total locations at DFW Airport.

The strong third quarter came after Smoothie King added 25 new store commitments across 12 states in the second quarter, with especially strong development in Georgia and Texas, each securing six new deals. Earlier this year, the company said it expected to open approximately 105 new stores in 2025.

“This quarter showcases the continued strength of our incredible franchise community and the exciting momentum driving the Smoothie King brand,” said Gavin Felder, President & CFO of Smoothie King. “From entering new markets to bringing bold innovation to our menu, we’re growing in ways that matter – expanding our reach while keeping our purpose at the heart of everything we do.”
