St James Quarter Grows F&B Offering

St James Quarter, the retail-led lifestyle district in Edinburgh, has let 2,000sq ft to itsu, who will be opening their first ever Scottish outlet later this month at the Register Square entrance.

The itsu brand will be offering healthy, hot & cold Asian inspired dishes for both grab & go and eat-in customers. The restaurant chain celebrates their ‘steamed never fried’ approach to delicious food, which includes a third of its menu being plant-based.

The news follows on the back of the recent announcements, including that The Botanist will be opening its first Scotland-based restaurants at St James Quarter, demonstrating St James Quarter’s continued appeal among top name occupiers since its successful opening in June 2021.

The Botanist will take 11,400sq ft and add its unique concept, classic and contemporary cuisine plus world-famous selection of cocktails to the spectacular St Andrew’s Hall, a grade B-listed building overlooking Leith Walk.

Alongside the itsu opening, March will see the opening of Scottish brand, Ka Pao, an East Asian restaurant from Glasgow that was presented a Bib Gourmand by the Michelin guide – a prize awarded to outlets offering exceptional quality cuisine at accessible prices.
