The premium skincare brand, owned by Doctor Hiroshi Takami is mainly available in Japan and some Asian countries, notably China.
The Takami brand was founded in 1999 and has become particularly famous for their iconic Skin Peel pre-serum, which is more commonly known as the ‘Little Blue Bottle’ by some customers. The brand has achieved strong growth in the Asia region through an omnichannel distribution model, which has seen them favour e-commerce and a subscription model as well as selective distribution.
The brand recorded revenue sales of around $60.9M in 2019 and despite a year of uncertainty in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, still continues to grow.
