Lendlease and Invesco Real Estate, the global real estate investment manager, are pleased to announce that regional Indian gastropub, Tap & Tandoor, has signed for their latest restaurant concept with Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough.

The brand has signed for a 4,329 sq ft unit at 52/53 Cumbergate, due to open in July. The new site will be the team’s second within the Tap & Tandoor brand, serving up a vast selection of small plates, mixed grills and home-style curries.

Having just celebrated the success of the brand’s first year in Solihull, the 80 cover restaurant will offer classic Indian dishes paired with local beers and wine alongside their signature homemade rose pink gin; all in the warmth of a traditional British pub setting.

Tap & Tandoor joins Queensgate after the news that John Lewis & Partners has announced details of their £21 million investment and refurbishment of its 93,000 sq ft store, due to be completed in January 2020. This investment coincides with Queensgate’s £60m extension, anchored by a ten-screen Empire Cinema and new restaurant brands, positioning Queensgate as a significant retail and leisure destination.
