Cain International’s The Stage, a mixed-use development in the heart of Shoreditch, is adding The Black Cow, a Middle Eastern steakhouse from Shiri Kraus and Amir Batito to its growing roster of F&B tenants.
Set to open on 1 May, the restaurant joins Sushi Revolution, as the development continues to deliver a leading destination for dining and entertainment.
Marking its second location, The Black Cow brings a theatrical twist to the classic steakhouse, drawing inspiration from Broadway, Middle Eastern theatre and the site’s own Curtain Playhouse heritage. Guests can expect flame-kissed, dry-aged steaks served tableside with signature burning herbs, alongside a menu of shareable small plates. The 2,946sq ft space will feature The Gallery, a mezzanine dining area overlooking the open kitchen, where spotlights highlight the drama of live-fire cooking.
The Black Cow joins Sushi Revolution, a contemporary Japanese restaurant redefining traditional izakaya dining that opened in 2024. Founded by industry veterans Tom Blackshaw and Aidan Bryan, the concept blends expertly crafted sushi with a design-forward space featuring shou sugi ban wood walls, kintsugi porcelain tables and a reclaimed wood sushi bar.
Situated on the historic site of Shakespeare’s Curtain Playhouse, The Stage is home to a dynamic mix of residential, office, retail and leisure spaces. It features a 37-storey residential tower with 412 premium apartments, a luxury sky terrace and a state-of-the-art underground arcade, alongside 211,000sq ft of fully let office space.
