The progressive outdoor performance wear label founded in Manchester in 2021 by David Makin, Jack Spellacy and Dale Thorpe, has signed for its second-ever store at Trafford Centre.
Trailberg’s new store will mark the launch of an expansion programme, with the brand appointing Metis Real Estate Advisors to acquire new sites in premium retail and leisure destinations around the UK.
Situated on Trafford Centre’s central area on Upper Peel Avenue, Trailberg’s standalone store will complement its existing wholesale partnerships with Footasylum and JD. The dedicated space will allow customers to fully immerse themselves in the brand, with Trailberg benefiting from Trafford Centre’s position as the North West’s premier shopping and leisure destination and its 23 million annual footfall.
Trailberg will also use its launch at Trafford Centre to debut its womenswear and technical apparel ranges, new product lines that will be incorporated in future stores as the brand further diversifies its offer in response to customer demand. The brand is also planning to introduce footwear next year.
Jack Spellacy, Co-Founder of Trailberg, commented: “Trailberg is in huge demand among consumers, so, following our launch last year in Manchester city centre, the time is right to expand our store presence in more of the UK’s leading retail destinations. Top of the list was Trafford Centre, which is the first-choice location for a significant, loyal and engaged catchment that significantly expands our reach in the North West. This is the beginning of something very exciting for Trailberg.”
Kate Pearson, Director of Portfolio Leasing at Pradera Lateral – Trafford Centre’s asset manager, said: “We’re excited for Trailberg to come to Trafford Centre with what will be its second store. At Trafford Centre we are always looking to support home-grown, local brands and a Manchester brand like Trailberg will add strength to our extensive range of outdoor clothing brands.”
