The outlet, located in the high-end Galleria Mall, employs around 60 people and offers a range of products including international fashion and beauty brands. The upmarket retailer has also confirmed that it is to open its first store on The Palm in Dubai by the end of this year.
The new store will be the largest supermarket on the iconic man-made island, Waitrose said in its statement. The new shops will take the total number of Waitrose outlets in the Middle East to 10. In November of 2008, Waitrose opened its first store outside the UK in Dubai.
