Walmart Canada to Integrate Ecommerce in Stores

The retail grocery-giant is investing $110M in integrating omnichannel and technology experiences in their stores.

The company has said that their customers are looking for choice and convenience now more than ever and so have planned to invest $110M into expanding their ecommerce and technology offerings across their store. The investment includes expanding the Walmart Grocery Pickup to around 270 stores by the end of 2020, rolling our mobile chick-in across their store portfolio, reducing the minimum order value and expanding availability of third-party partners such as InstaCart and Cornershop.

“In these busy and challenging times, we know customers want choice and convenience more than ever. This is a very exciting time at Walmart Canada, as we invest in the business, accelerate our omnichannel efforts and make the shopping experience easy and simple for our customers,” commented Horacio Barbeito, President and Chief Executive Officer at Walmart Canada.
