Walmart are to redesign the front-end checkout in one of its locations as it looks to shortern lines and reduce the line at the checkout. The discount giant is replacing its traditional, in person checkout lanes with self-checkout kiosks.
“What we are looking at in this new setup is … how can we move people through a checkout experience quicker at a Walmart? How can we shorten the lines, how can we move people through and get them onto the rest of their day as quickly as possible?” – Kory Lundberg.
