Amazon is now offering Amazon Prime members free, one-hour pick up at all locations of its Whole Foods Market for orders of $35 or more.
The service begins by asking Prime members to select a pickup store, customers are then able to shop via the Amazon App or the dedicated Whole Foods Market section on the Amazon site. Once their shopping is completed and they are ready to check out, they will be prompted to select a one-hour pick up window and place their order. To receive the order, customers need to check in via the Amazon app to let the store know they will be arriving to pick up their groceries.
The news comes as Amazon continues to increase the competitiveness of its grocery offering and particularly in a time where more consumers are utilising curb side pickup and online grocery delivery; this is a move that is expected to prove extremely popular.
