The cosmetics brand will close all seven of its brick-and-mortar stores in the Netherlands; however their online shop in the region is expected to stay open.
The rental contracts for Yves Rocher’s seven stores are due to expire, and the retail chain has decided not to extend them, this can be attributed to the brand’s stores in the Netherlands witnessing a drop in customers over the years which has in turn has seen a drop in turnover for the past ten years.
The first of these store closures will take place in March when the Hague will close, this will be followed by store closures in Zwolle, Rotterdam and Amsterdam in the middle of the year. Towards the end of 2021, the brand’s remaining stores in Utrecht, Groningen and Almere will also close.
The company has announced that they are still trying to find a solution that will keep the affect staff in employment.
