The new megastore is located on Wangfujing Street in Beijing and is the brands largest store in Asia.
Zara first launched in the Chinese market in 2004 and following a period of substantial growth, the company now records having 191 stores in the country, as well as 52 Zara Home stores. Inditex, parent company of Zara currently operates 581 stores in China. The new store opening has been hailed as extremely important given that two Zara stores closed in Beijing in mid-2019.
Occupying a space of 3500sq m and four storeys, the new outlet carries the brands full collection and also facilities both online and offline sales under one roof, with the addition of an area that is dedicated purely to fulfilling online orders.
According to reports, the new launch is expected to provide a sustainable shopping experience as it integrates modern technologies that are implemented to reduce energy consumption by as much as 20 per cent and cuts water usage by half.
