The brand may have around 900 stores spread across the US, but its presence in the state of Ohio is sparse.
It has signed a lease at WestPointe Plaza in the Columbus suburb of Hilliard, giving the arts and crafts mega-retailer its sixth location in the central region of the state.
“We are excited to have such a strong national retail tenant like Hobby Lobby join WestPointe Plaza,” said Adam Fights, Senior Leasing Director of Columbus-based Casto, owner of the centre. “This is Casto’s third Hobby Lobby deal within the last several years. They are a wonderful tenant.”
Around 55,000sq ft of unoccupied space next to Marshalls and PetSmart at the centre will be demolished to construct the new store for Hobby Lobby, which continues on an aggressive expansion drive. It has opened 55 new locations during the pandemic’s clutch on America.
“First-time shoppers will be pleasantly surprised at the store size and the exceptional service provided by our trained associates,” said Hobby Lobby’s Director of Advertising Kelly Black.
