Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has announced the development of three megaprojects in the country’s Dhofar, Musandam, and South Al Batinah governorates.
The new megaprojects’ proposals were chosen from among the many submissions for a development project that can be implemented in one of the governorates. The megaprojects were revealed at a meeting between the ministry’s officials and governors on Sunday in Muscat.
Rathath (Drizzle) Boulevard in Dhofar will eature an artificial waterway, a water feature, dining establishments catering to both local and international cuisine, an educational garden showcasing diverse plant life, suspended pathways, theatres, commercial areas, and a hub for hosting various events.
Rimal Park in South Al Batinah will encompass a vacation retreat, a theme park, an aerial cableway, mobile food vendors, a shopping complex, and a parking facility.
Finally, the Aames Bay development in Musandam will seek to boost tourism, open up fresh avenues for investment, and contribute to the overall urban and social development and well-being of the governorate.
