Thai-based fashion brand Pomelo has appointed FJ Benjamin to operate the brand exclusively in Malaysia under a new distribution agreement.
The deal, effective for an initial five-year term with an option to extend for another five years, gives FJ Benjamin authority to manage the brand’s operations and stores in the country.
Pomelo plans to launch online on e-commerce marketplaces by the end of this year, followed by physical stores in key Kuala Lumpur shopping malls in early next year.
“This collaboration brings together Pomelo’s digital-first fashion and technology-driven retail model with FJ Benjamin’s deep expertise in brand building and retail operations,” said David Jou, CEO of Pomelo. “Together, we’re setting the stage to redefine the fashion retail experience across Malaysia and beyond.”
Earlier this year, Pomelo signed an exclusive distribution deal with Kolao Group to open its first store in Laos. The brand also operates in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines, with plans to debut in Vietnam in the future.
