As part of its expansion into eastern India, Japanese luxury watch brand Grand Seiko has opened its largest shop-in-shop in the country, inside the luxury watch store Exclusive Lines in Kolkata.
“Exclusive Lines has created a truly world-class Grand Seiko experience for watch enthusiasts and connoisseurs in Kolkata,” said Niladri Mazumdar, President and COO of Seiko India, in a press release. “This stunning space not only showcases our finest masterpieces, but also celebrates the spirit of craftsmanship, precision and superior service that embodies Grand Seiko. We are thrilled to offer visitors a glimpse of our iconic timepieces in an environment that brings the essence of Japan closer to them.”
The shop-in-shop is designed to reflect Grand Seiko’s worldview, which focuses on artistry, precision and tradition and showcases their Spring Drive, Mechanical and Quartz collections. This opening follows Grand Seiko’s store openings in Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi and is part of Grand Seiko’s efforts to expand its offline reach to watch enthusiasts and collectors in India’s major metros.
Grand Seiko is a luxury sub-brand of the Seiko Group Corporation, which was founded in Japan in 1881. The first Grand Seiko was launched in 1960 and the brand is characterised by a refined aesthetic that is both minimalist and elegant.
