By the end of December 2025, Saudi is flipping the script with two mega attractions that break records and expectations: Aquarabia Waterpark and Six Flags Qiddiya City.
Together, they promise a blend of epic thrills, cultural storytelling and sustainability, making Riyadh the next stop on every global traveller’s bucket list.
Aquarabia – The Desert’s Biggest Splash
Imagine a waterpark that doesn’t just rival the best in the world but sets entirely new records, all in the heart of Saudi’s desert.
World-first rides:
- Jamal Joom: a 232m mega mat blaster where you’ll race your friends at breakneck speed.
- Junoon Drop: a 12-storey vertical plunge that twists into freefall (not for the faint-hearted!).
- Speedy Jamezales: the tallest AquaLoop slide on Earth, where the floor literally disappears beneath your feet.
- Hyper Viper & Jump Jolt: daring raft rides and cliff-style drops that will leave your stomach somewhere behind.
Surf the Saudi desert: Thanks to Endless Surf technology, you’ll be able to ride ocean-style waves in Saudi’s first-ever surf pool. Whether you’re a pro or just finding your balance, it’s a surreal experience under desert skies.
Family fun, too: FusionFortress 18 is a colossal interactive play structure with 181 water features, slides, sprays and splash cannons. Perfect for kids – and grown-ups who refuse to grow up.
A park with a story: Each zone is themed around Saudi’s landscapes and wildlife, from Camel Rock to Viper Canyon; so while you’re chasing thrills, you’re also stepping into a world inspired by Saudi’s natural heritage.
Sustainability meets fun: Aquarabia will recycle 80 per cent of its waste and use reclaimed water for irrigation and cooling, ensuring your fun leaves a lighter footprint.
Six Flags Qiddiya City – Where Records Fall as Fast as Riders
Next door, the legendary Six Flags is opening its first park designed and built from the ground up outside North America and it’s not holding back. Covering 320,000sq m (the size of 45 football pitches), Six Flags Qiddiya City will feature 28 rides and attractions, including 10 thrill rides, 18 family experiences and five world-record-breaking coasters.
Falcon’s Flight: The Crown Jewel
- Tallest in the world: soaring 195m.
- Fastest in the world: hitting 250 km/h (faster than a Formula 1 car).
- Longest in the world: 4.3 km of pure adrenaline.
The ride will even run parallel to Qiddiya’s Speed Park Track, letting coaster fans race alongside professional drivers. To cut plastic waste, Falcon’s Flight will feature innovative windshields that remove the need for disposable goggles, while its wheels are cooled with energy-efficient technology.
More thrills to conquer
- Sirocco Tower: the world’s tallest free-fall ride.
- Spitfire: a triple-launch coaster that slings you into loops.
- Iron Rattler: a hybrid wood-and-steel coaster with a tilt feature.
- Gyrospin: the world’s tallest pendulum ride.
The beauty of Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya is that they’re not standalone attractions. They are anchors of Qiddiya City, Saudi’s new hub for entertainment, sports and culture, part of Vision 2030’s bold diversification journey. Together, the two parks are expected to welcome millions of visitors each year. Once fully operational, Qiddiya City is projected to contribute SAR 135bn annually to Saudi’s GDP.
