Japanese dessert brand Mr Cheesecake has opened its first permanent store outside Japan, choosing Hysan Place in Causeway Bay as its debut international location.
The move follows a series of pop-up stores across Hong Kong, including K11 Musea, Pacific Place and IFC Mall. For the Hong Kong opening, the brand is introducing a new product range, the Mr Cheesecake Petit Series, a cup-style cheesecake positioned for everyday consumption. The store is also bringing back the Praline Pistachio seasonal flavour, available for a limited period through Christmas.
According to Yaichi, which operates Mr Cheesecake in Hong Kong, the Hysan Place store will mirror its Japan retail model, with a rotating lineup of signature items and new releases that align with product developments in its home market. Yaichi also brought the Japanese household goods retail chain 3Coins to Hong Kong in July.
