The acclaimed Japanese fine-dining brand TakaHisa is expanding its footprint with the opening of a new outpost in Business Bay.
Located on the fourth floor of Volante Tower 1 in Business Bay, the new venue introduces a more intimate, reservation-only format, overlooking the Dubai Canal and Burj Khalifa. The opening marks a new chapter for the brand, which has built a strong international following through its flagship restaurant at Banyan Tree Dubai, known for premium wagyu, high-grade sushi and Japanese artisanal precision.
Designed as a secluded urban retreat, TakaHisa Downtown combines Japanese minimalism with understated luxury. The interiors feature warm, natural materials, an intimate bar and comfortable seating, while the outdoor terrace forms a central part of the experience. A firepit set within a water-framed lounge area looks directly onto Dubai’s skyline, positioning the venue for sunset dining and late-evening occasions.
To maintain a sense of exclusivity and calm, the restaurant will operate strictly by reservation. At launch, TakaHisa Downtown will offer an à la carte menu, with the brand confirming that additional culinary concepts tailored specifically to this location will be introduced in the coming months. One of the venue’s differentiators is its authentic Japanese breakfast offering. Served daily, the breakfast menu includes traditional morning dishes such as grilled Japanese fish, miso soup, Japanese-style eggs and steamed rice, catering to both residents and business travellers seeking a non-Western breakfast option with a view.
