Carousell Singapore to Open New Unit

CarousellMobile – the mobile-focused arm of Carousell – is opening its first physical store at Chinatown Point, creating a brick-and-mortar touchpoint that complements its online platform.

The outlet will feature what the company claims to be the broadest selection of second-hand mobile devices housed within a single retail location in Singapore, allowing customers to physically inspect and test products before purchasing. Consumers can also browse listings or receive a valuation quote for their devices online before visiting the store.

Beyond retail, the store will offer a full suite of services aimed at extending the life of mobile devices. These include certified preowned phones with warranties and flexible return options, instant cash buybacks, trade-ins and on-site repair services.

“We know that for high-ticket items like phones and luxury bags, trust is physical,” said Alvin Yap, CarousellMobile lead. “CarousellMobile is our answer to the anxiety of buying used electronics.”
