The Valencian brand has inaugurated its first flagship store in Madrid, located at number 98 Serrano Street, one of the capital’s main luxury shopping streets.
“It’s very satisfying to be able to open this store after so much time searching for a location and considering different options,” Paula Maiques, daughter of the founder and co-design director, told FashionNetwork.com. A sentiment shared by Isabel Sanchís herself, who founded her eponymous brand in 1990 in a small workshop a few kilometres from Valencia.
The new space boasts a total area of 360sq m spread over three floors and has been conceived as a meeting point for the brand’s entire universe, offering a wide selection from all its collections. “We usually show around 50 pieces, but our collections are much larger,” Maiques explained, revealing that, in this spacious store, they will have the opportunity to showcase “everything from simpler ready-to-wear pieces to couture and wedding dresses”.
The interior design is both welcoming and sophisticated, featuring clean architecture true to Isabel Sanchís’s signature aesthetic and a carefully curated selection of fine materials such as veined marble on floors and staircases, glass railings and gilded brass details.
