TNS Prepares to Open in Panama

The Colombian firm TNS, the foreign subsidiary of Tennis, one of Colombia’s most established casual wear and denim brands, continues its international expansion.

After opening three stores in the US, the brand is now expanding into Panama. With a billboard on the second floor of the Multiplaza shopping centre in Panama City, TNS announces its arrival at the prestigious complex, where it will share space with Cortefiel, Adidas and other international premium brands.

Panama has become a very important market for Colombian brands, not only because of the local market but also because of the retail tourism in the country. Panama is a travel hub, a connection point between the region and the US and Asia and presents significant opportunities for businesses.

According to a study conducted by Go2Africa and published by Mercado Magazine, Panama is the Latin American and Caribbean country where tourists spend the most. The country ranks first with an average expenditure of $2,162 per person, per trip, while countries like Colombia, Brazil and Mexico rank 6th, 7th and 11th respectively, with expenditures of $1,299, $1,083 and $672 each.
