The Barcelona-based Korean cosmetics chain is expanding its retail network in its home city. Miin Cosmetics has opened a new company-owned store in the La Maquinista shopping center in Barcelona, as part of the company’s national growth strategy.
“It is a true honor to continue growing in Barcelona, a city that has welcomed us so warmly since our early days. This city, which witnessed our beginnings, inspires and motivates us to continue offering the best of Korean cosmetics,” explained Lilin Yang, co-founder and CEO of the company, revealing that “opening in such an iconic location as La Maquinista is another step in our commitment to this wonderful community, which has always shown us its support.”
The new store occupies 41 square meters and has been designed following the brand’s signature aesthetic. The retail space offers the chain’s full range of cosmetics, including its latest products and offerings from more than 40 brands of facial, body, and hair care, as well as various treatments.
With this opening, the company now has a total of eight stores in the province of Barcelona, located in shopping districts such as Gran de Gràcia, Argenteria, Balmes, and the L’Illa Diagonal shopping center. Internationally, Miin Cosmetics has over 50 stores in Europe, with more than 30 points of sale in Spain, 15 in Italy, two in Germany, two in France, and one in Portugal, consolidating its network of company-owned stores on the continent.
Founded in 2014 by Lilin Yang, the company, specializing in K-beauty, recorded a 63% increase in sales in its 2024 fiscal year, reaching a turnover of €25 million, driven by its international expansion and the growing interest in Korean cosmetics in European markets.
