The site has announced 26,000sq ft of retail recommitments as six tenants upsize, refit and renew, signalling continued demand for the UK’s most regionally dominant shopping centre.
A longstanding and much-loved tenant, the LEGO Group, is relocating within Meadowhall, taking a new larger store on Lower Level High Street. After more than 15 years at the shopping centre, the brand is embarking on a new chapter with a 4,651sq ft space set to open this spring. The enhanced store will serve as a vibrant hub for the building community, hosting product launches, interactive experiences and special events.
Meadowhall has this month welcomed refitted and relaunched stores for Tommy Hilfiger, MINISO and Lakeland. Spanning 2,462sq ft, Tommy Hilfiger’s new-look space has been redesigned with an elevated interior, stocking the brand’s full menswear collection and introducing womenswear to the store.
MINISO’s 1,759sq ft location on the shopping centre’s Lower Level High Street has recently launched, taking the brand from a pop-up to a permanent lease. The store has reopened with brand-new shop front and interior and a broader range of joyful, design-led and affordable pop culture and lifestyle products, including GenZ favourites such as blind boxes and plushies. Lakeland has refreshed its 4,052sq ft space on Meadowhall’s Upper Level The Arcade, operating with a modernised fit-out and complete collection of kitchenware.
Due to launch at the end of the month is Schuh’s revamped 7,734sq ft store. It will feature a brighter and more open design, introducing digital screens and easy-to-use click-and-collect kiosks and follows the recently refreshed Schuh Kids next-door. Hugo Boss has renewed on its 5,559sq ft store, adjacent to Flannels and opposite the new-look Tommy Hilfiger.
Richard Crowther, Retail Leasing Director at British Land, said: “The investment from existing brands with a long-term vision for and commitment to, Meadowhall follows a milestone year for the centre, as we celebrated a big anniversary in 2025. It’s no surprise to see substantial leasing demand continuing into 2026, even now at 36 years old the evolution is plain to see and so many of our brands have their latest store concepts here. The desire from these leading operators to not only stay, but invest heavily in their stores, highlights Meadowhall’s position as an iconic, dominant destination with national appeal.”
