Operated by Kerten Hospitality, Ray by Cloud 7 opened earlier this summer and offers a unique blend of modern design, coastal living and community-driven experiences overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
The hotel features 59 elegantly designed rooms and suites that embody a coastal sophistication paired with modern comfort. And now an acclaimed dining destination has been announced. The arrival follows the success of the original Joontos at Dar Tantora The House Hotel in AlUla, Saudi Arabia.
From the word “juntos”, meaning together in Spanish, the concept is based around meals designed to be shared with friends and family. The menu is created by the corporate executive chef at Kerten Hospitality, Jaume Puigdengolas. It promises international dishes with a creative twist.
“The idea behind Joontos is very simple,” said Puigdengolas. “Wherever we travel in the world, the moments we remember most often happen around a table. Joontos was created to celebrate those moments of connection. It’s not about extravagance or complexity; it’s about exceptional ingredients, honest cooking, craftsmanship and bringing people together through food.”
The menu is designed for sharing, with handmade bread and dishes made with seasonal ingredients, inspired by culinary traditions from around the world. Joontos promises plates inspired by “ancient cooking techniques, preservation methods and a strong respect for local producers”.
