The brand has continued its expansion in Canada in partnership with Birks Group by opening its first ever Vancouver boutique, in Oakridge Park, one of the city’s two largest malls.
Following the success of its shop-in-shop at Maison Birks opened in 2022, Chaumet is strengthening its presence in Vancouver with the opening of its first standalone boutique in partnership with Birks Group, a Canadian benchmark for luxury and excellence in high jewellery, watches and silverware since 1879.
Located in the prestigious Oakridge Park mall, this new boutique draws inspiration from the emblematic 12 Vendôme, the historic Chaumet address in Paris. Blending tradition and innovation, the boutique embraces the Maison’s aesthetic codes: its façade is in signature Chaumet blue, while inside, a large mural depicting windswept golden ears of wheat and a chandelier composed of a constellation of flowers reference the guiding Chaumet passion for botany. As a “naturalist jeweller” for nearly 250 years, Chaumet excels in the art of capturing the beauty of living things, from the humblest to the most majestic species, combining exceptional savoir-faire with meticulous attention to detail – a commitment reflected in the décor.
The unique history of Chaumet, intimately associated with the imperial couple Napoléon and Joséphine, the Maison’s first major clients, is also evoked through a bas-relief of the Bourbon-Parme tiara and nickel silver models of other tiaras. These act as a tribute to Joséphine, who made the tiara the height of fashion, a jewel which has gone on to become the signature of Chaumet. Imbued with Parisian elegance and refinement, this new space invites visitors to immerse themselves in the world of the Maison, to discover its three emblematic collections – Joséphine, Bee de Chaumet and Liens – as well as an exclusive selection of High Jewellery.
