The chain, focused on distributing sneakers and athleisure, has left its location on Avenida da Liberdade, where it had been since 2021 and moved to numbers 99 and 101 on Rua do Souto, in the historic centre of the city.
Sportino now occupies a 300sq m space and Joana Faustino, Sportino’s Marketing Director explained that: “We were already in Braga, on Avenida da Liberdade, a very strong location. However, Sportino wanted to be in a more premium area of the city and Rua do Souto is, for everyone, the true street of open-air shopping. As soon as this opportunity arose, we seized it.”
Designed to provide an immersive shopping experience, the architectural concept of the new store is inspired by the fluidity of water, focusing on reflections, transparencies and translucent surfaces to convey lightness to the space.
“Each Sportino store has its own identity,” recalls Joana Faustino, adding: “We don’t want to be a store like any other. We seek to offer a complete and different experience, through the personalisation of the space and the way we welcome customers.”
