A new doughnut venture in Abu Dhabi that offers the custard-filled sugary treats inspired by Italian zeppole is showing strong demand.
From the creators of the hugely successful, award-winning Marmellata comes a new and exciting dining concept in the UAE capital.
Lucky 2000 opened in June in Abu Dhabi’s Souq Al Mina, just a short distance from its sister establishment, neighbourhood pizzeria Marmellata.
Described as “Marmellata’s love letter to the Italian zeppole”, this new restaurant and takeout spot, managed by Raj Dagstani, features custard-filled, sugar-rolled doughnuts inspired by the traditional Italian deep-fried zeppole, which are typically filled with custard, jelly or cannoli-style pastry cream.
