Jeddah Tower Reaches Halfway to Burj Khalifa

Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Tower has reached 430m and 106 levels as construction advances towards a planned height above 1,000m.

Kingdom Holding confirmed the milestone in its second quarter 2026 results. More than 300,000 cubic metres of concrete have been poured. Around 6,400 workers are deployed at the Jeddah site. Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding, inspected construction teams as vertical works continued. He said crews would complete “the tallest tower in the world”.

Jeddah Tower’s 430m elevation exceeds half the height of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa. Dubai’s landmark retains the global record among completed skyscrapers at 828m.

Jeddah Tower will provide about 530,000 square metres of built area when completed. Planned uses span residential, hospitality, office and observation facilities within the supertall structure.

Design specifications include 59 elevators, comprising 54 single-deck units and five double-deck elevators. Another 12 escalators will serve circulation requirements across the building.

Observatory elevators are designed to travel at 10 metres per second in both directions. That system will handle passenger movement across a building planned to exceed one kilometre.
