South Korean foodservice operator Lotte GRS is reportedly bringing its Angel-in-Us coffee chain back to Indonesia through a master franchise partnership with local F&B company Bogajaya Group.
This agreement will see Bogajaya develop the brand in Indonesia, with plans to open ten outlets over the next five years. The partnership marks Angel-in-Us’ return to the market after Lotte withdrew its operations from Indonesia in 2020. The first of the new outlets is expected to open by the end of this year.
Based in Surabaya, East Java, Bogajaya Group has been operating for nearly 50 years. The company has established a presence in Indonesia’s F&B and retail sectors, with particular expertise in operating outlets at major airports nationwide.
The partnership supports Lotte GRS’s broader international expansion strategy. The company has established a presence in markets including Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore and the US.
Its portfolio includes the foodservice brands such as Lotteria, Angel-in-Us Coffee, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Villa de Charlotte and Plating.
