At the end of 2022, it was announced that a Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open in the UAE capital. Since then, there’s been plenty of progress and details revealed about what the park will contain.
Warner Bros. World has stated that the Harry Potter expansion is expected to open in 2029. The date was first revealed in an article in The National.
Miral (the developers behind the project) have promised that the attraction will “bring Harry Potter to fans like never before”. It sounds bigger and better than anything seen before, they added it will be a “wholly new and spectacular destination for fans to immerse themselves in”.
Hogwarts Castle is set to be the main feature of the park and will play host to the main ride. But, construction permit information has also revealed that the park will feature Diagon Alley, too. Putting these two major Harry Potter features together in the same park would be a world-first.
The proposed expansion will cover an additional 40,000sq m. This will increase the size of the existing Warner Bros. World park by roughly 26 per cent.
