Flying robot food deliveries are back in Dubai, with customers able to order shawarma, coffee, desserts and other food and drinks through the Keeta app.
Keeta Drone has resumed its autonomous drone delivery service from Silicon Central Mall following regulatory approvals from the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), initially connecting participating food and beverage brands with customers in eligible surrounding areas.
Depending on their location, customers can collect orders from designated lockers, while a rider collaboration model allows orders to be delivered directly to homes in select areas of Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO).
The service is initially operating from Silicon Central Mall, by Line Investment and Properties. Customers in eligible surrounding areas can place food delivery orders from participating brands directly through the Keeta app and receive them through Keeta Drone’s autonomous delivery network.
Orders can be collected from a designated locker at RIT or the Emirates Building near Foodings Cafe at DSO. In select areas of DSO, Keeta’s rider collaboration mode allows orders to be delivered directly to customers’ homes.
Keeta said more Dubai locations will follow as the drone delivery network expands.
