Renzo Costa puts Ecuador at Centre of Expansion Plans

The Peruvian company specializing in leather goods already has discussions with potential partners and developers of shopping malls, with Quito and Guayaquil as the two priority cities to start operations.

The firm currently has more than 60 stores in Peru and a boutique in Naples, Italy and contemplates other Latin American markets as part of its next stage of growth, including Chile, Colombia and Central American countries. Its commercial proposal extends from wallets, wallets and footwear to backpacks, jackets, straps and other accessories, with leather as a historical axis of its positioning.

The interest in Ecuador took shape during the IV Congress of Shopping Centers of Latin America, held in Quito in early September. Renzo Costa participated in the meeting with a showroom aimed at presenting his concept, products and shopping experience with operators and developers of the region. Martín Romero Santacruz, General Manager of the company, said that the firm is already moving forward in talks with potential allies and that the choice of locations will be decisive to realise the landing.

The expansion is backed by a $3M investment plan over the next three years. The resources will be aimed at international growth and strengthening the technical and operational capacities of the company, in addition to accompanying the development of its businesses in Peru and Italy. Ecuador is among the priority markets due to the growth of its modern retail, the expansion of new commercial projects and its location within the region.
