The new store brings the brand’s signature luxury style to Trafford Centre, reinforcing continued retailer confidence in one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations.
Founded in Stoke-on-Trent in 1924, Belstaff is known for clothing designed for a life in motion, with its signature waxed cotton and leather outerwear at the heart of the brand. Its arrival at Trafford Centre will bring the brand’s enduring icons and seasonal collections to customers from across Greater Manchester and the wider North West.
Occupying 900sq ft, the new store will showcase a selection of Belstaff clothing, outerwear and accessories through the brand’s ‘Future Garage’ concept, which was conceived in collaboration with Scandinavian architecture and interior design studio Specific Generic. The concept draws on Belstaff’s motoring heritage while reimagining it for a new era. Its clean, minimalist interior will combine modular fixtures, stainless steel rails and digital displays, balancing old and new to create a flexible, contemporary retail environment.
A dedicated evergreen fixture will spotlight Belstaff’s iconic waxed-cotton and leather pieces, using material details and key dates to reveal the stories behind them. Blending the functional language of a modern garage with references to Belstaff’s manufacturing legacy, the concept will create a distinctive setting within Trafford Centre’s premium fashion line-up.
The opening builds on Trafford Centre’s continued leasing momentum, including recently announced lettings and expansions involving high-profile retailers such as Suitsupply, lululemon, Garage and UNIQLO. This activity reflects sustained occupier confidence in the destination’s performance and long-term investment strategy.
Kate Pearson, Portfolio Leasing Director at Pradera, said: “Belstaff’s arrival strengthens Trafford Centre’s premium fashion line-up with one of Britain’s most distinctive heritage brands. The signing also demonstrates the momentum behind our leasing strategy and the continued confidence in Trafford Centre as a destination where brands can reach new audiences and grow their presence across the region.”
