Borsalino strengthens its presence in Paris with the opening of its second boutique at 24 Rue Marbeuf, an exclusive new address in the heart of the prestigious Triangle d’Or, one of the world’s leading destinations for fashion and luxury, further advancing Maison’s retail expansion strategy.
Just moments from the Champs-Élysées and Avenue Montaigne, the 50-square-metre boutique has been conceived as an intimate, immersive space where architecture, design and product come together to express Borsalino’s contemporary vision.
Designed by architect Nicola Quadri, the space builds on Borsalino’s signature retail concept through its iconic check pattern, reinterpreted as an architectural language that flows seamlessly across the walls, ceiling and floor, to create a distinctive and cohesive visual identity. Fabric-covered surfaces bring warmth and texture, while a curated selection of furniture from the second half of the 20th century lends a sense of timeless elegance. Among the pieces is a table designed by Ignazio Gardella, a leading figure of the Italian Modern Movement, creating in the new Parisian space a subtle yet meaningful reference to the brand’s roots, creating a bridge between Alessandria and Paris, Italian design heritage and contemporary expression.
This refined yet welcoming setting provides the backdrop for the complete Borsalino universe, from its iconic men’s and women’s hat collections and leather goods to the brand’s fragrances and eyewear capsule.
“Paris has always been one of the world’s leading reference points for fashion, culture and international luxury,” says Mauro Baglietto, General Manager of Borsalino. “The opening of our second boutique in the city and our third in France, including our boutique in Cannes, represents a natural evolution in Borsalino’s growth journey and an opportunity to share the Maison’s vision with an increasingly international clientele.”
The new Rue Marbeuf boutique forms part of a broader phase of international development for Borsalino’s retail network. Just a few weeks after the opening of its first permanent boutique in Greater China, at Plaza 66 in Shanghai, the Maison further strengthens its presence in France, one of its key European markets and historically the Brand’s second most important country. It is worth recalling that Giuseppe Borsalino completed his apprenticeship at the prestigious Berteil hatmaker on rue du Temple; in 1900, Maison Borsalino was awarded the prestigious “Grand Prix” at the Paris Exposition Universelle, while, in more recent history, the films Borsalino and Borsalino & Co., starring Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo, became emblematic.
