Following its reopening in April 2026 after an extensive transformation, Paradisus Cancún, the iconic luxury resort from Meliá Hotels International, is ushering in a new era of all-inclusive in the Mexican Caribbean.
The resort’s new vision came to life during its grand opening celebration on 18th October, where attendees experienced the resort’s destination-inspired approach to wellness firsthand. The festivities began with a ceremonial welcome inspired by Mayan culture, weaving together storytelling, live performances and mindful breathing to introduce guests to the resort’s philosophy of wellbeing and connection.
Attendees then explored a curated selection of rooms and suites brought to life through immersive storytelling, styling, lighting and experiential moments, each designed to showcase the different ways guests can experience the resort’s new approach to all-inclusive luxury. The evening concluded with a spectacular fireworks and synchronised drone show illuminating the night sky and delivering a fitting final message: “The Icon Is Back”, marking the return of an iconic landmark in Cancún reimagined for a new era.
