Lime, the urban mobility provider – based in the US has announced plans to launch in Abu Dhabi, with the first e-scooters set to arrive on the streets this weekend. Abu Dhabi will be the first market in the GCC to launch Lime Scooters and will join a network of over 120 cities worldwide.

Lime aims to reduce the number of cars on the road with one in four riders saying their last Lime ride replaced a car trip. Lime is available to download on the App Store, where people can simply download the application, locate where the nearest scooter is located on the map and then unlock it with the tap of the button.
