The company has recently opened a new boutique in Vancouver at Oakridge Park on the ground floor, flanked by the boutiques of Giorgio Armani, Alexander Wang and Longchamp.
The Acne Studios store occupies a lofty unit on Level 1 and features another collaborative interior design by Creative Director Jonny Johansson and Stockholm-based architecture practice Halleröd.
The retail space sees the brand’s newest retail design codes, which is defined by a façade in pink granite, while inside, juxtaposition unfolds of sharp, structured architecture – delineated with geometric stainless steel fixtures and furnishings. The latter includes organically shaped custom pieces by London-based designer Max Lamb, which offer a sharp contrast to the sleek and understated light fixtures by French designer Benoît Lalloz.
Additional furnishings and fixtures include a sleek tiered shelving unit, display cabinets and a sales counter, all crafted from stainless steel and matching clothing racks lining the wall. A squared wool carpet, reminiscent of street paving, covers the entire store. The new Acne Sudios store carries a selection of men’s and women’s pieces, including the brand’s key denim styles, the Midsummer capsule and accessories.
