The Aeon Mall in Tebrau, Malaysia, is on course to open a new section that merges food and lifestyle offerings.
This development will include 20 specialty shops, a lifestyle bookstore and entertainment facilities. The City Food Hall will offer various dining options, including Maruki Ramen, Oiso and Kyochon, complemented by 11 outlets dedicated to sweets, snacks and bakeries, featuring brands like Cinnabon, Royce, Eat Pizza and O’Briens.
For fitness enthusiasts, a new indoor gym will be part of the expansion alongside Star Kids, a concept that focuses on “learning through play” for children, promoting physical activity. Customers can also look forward to the launch of Tsutaya Bookstore, touted as Japan’s largest retail bookstore, making its debut in the city.
Spanning 2,500sq m, the bookstore will offer a Japanese cafe ambience, serving espresso-based drinks, homemade beverages and a selection of Japanese and Western snacks.
“This year marks a special milestone as Aeon celebrates its 40th anniversary in Malaysia,” the company said. “The goal is to continue spreading joy, creating smiles and connecting hearts for many years.”
