The $190M shopping mall will be located in the Northern Province, with the area expected to provide support to ensure that the project can get underway as soon as possible.
The Japanese retailer and developer has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bac Ninh Province People’s Committee to build the new $190M shopping mall in 2022 which is expected to create around 3,000 jobs.
General Director of AEON Mall Vietnam, Nakagawa Tetsuyuki said that Bac Ninh Province’s traditional products and farm produce would be sold at the outlet and possibly exported to Japan.
AEON Mall currently has six malls in HCMC, Hanoi and Hai Phong and the Southern Province of Binh Duong. The brand has plans to operate around 20 shopping malls across the country by 2025 with an investment of around $2bn.
