Westwood Cross shopping centre in Broadstairs has announced that it is set to welcome American seafood and chicken restaurant, Captain D’s on Monday 20th October – marking the brand’s first UK location and an exciting step in its global expansion.
Launching exclusively at Westwood Cross, guests will be able to enjoy Captain D’s famous menu of signature crispy fish sandwiches, fire-grilled fish, chicken, and sides served with a slice of classic Southern hospitality.
Founded in 1969 in Donelson, Tennessee, Captain D’s has grown to over 530restaurants across 23 US states, earning a loyal following for its affordable, high-quality seafood and chicken menu. Renowned as America’s leading fast-casual restaurant brand, Captain D’s will bring a taste of the US to Thanet for the very first time.
Captain D’s at Westwood Cross is to be inducted in the centre’s newly developed leisure offering, which occupied the former Debenhams site. The restaurant will be housed in the final unit in this area, which also includes Hollywood Bowl, AirHop Trampoline Park, Riparo Lounge, and Taco Bell.

Captain D’s is due to open at Westwood Cross on Monday 20th October and will be located near Hollywood Bowl.
