Middle Eastern perfume house Amouage has entered Indonesia with the opening of its first standalone boutique at Plaza Indonesia in Jakarta.
The boutique draws inspiration from Oman’s landscapes and traditional architecture, featuring travertine walls, walnut wood and brushed copper finishes. Display tables designed as inverted pyramids reference the country’s topography, while layered arches define the interior.
At the heart of the boutique is the Gift of Kings installation, where fragrances are arranged beneath a central illuminated orb in a radial display inspired by the Omani sun.
CEO Marco Parsiegla said the opening forms part of the company’s broader retail expansion strategy. “Indonesia has a deep relationship with scent, craft and hospitality and an increasingly sophisticated luxury clientele looking for depth and originality,” said Parsiegla. “That creates a strong natural resonance with Amouage and gives us real confidence in the role Indonesia can play in the House’s continued growth across Southeast Asia.”
Founded in Muscat in 1983, Amouage operates in more than 80 countries under Sabco Group. The Indonesia opening follows the brand’s entry into India in April.
