Andaliman at One Za’baeel in Dubai Relocates

The popular Indonesian restaurant in One Za’beel, Andaliman, debuted in February 2024, offering a refined culinary experience with theatre-style dining and a focus on heritage.

Andaliman, the Indonesian restaurant from husband-and-wife team Gianluigi and Mutianah Susapti, has moved from its original poolside location at the One&Only One Za’baeel to the 24th floor, replacing the vacant space left by Thai restaurant DuangDy.

A celebration of Indonesian culinary heritage, Andaliman opened in February 2024, one of ten restaurants in One Za’baeel. Named after an indigenous pepper from Sumatra, Andaliman offers an elevated take on traditional Indonesian gastronomy, blending authentic recipes with subtle modern touches.

Led by Indonesian chef de cuisine Ismawan Dzabir, the new indoor location and setup mean that guests can enjoy a theatrical dining experience with an open kitchen featuring a coconut husk grill and classic wok stations. Elements such as rope trellises, raw stone, woven soft furnishings and teak furniture are complemented by traditional carving details and represent a beautiful ode to the Indonesian Isles.
