Radisson Hotel Group has signed four conversion properties in Bergen, introducing its Radisson Individuals and Prize by Radisson brands to the country. In partnership with family-owned real estate company Magic Norway AS, all four properties totalling 519 guest rooms are set to open in the coming months. Magic Kloverhuset Harbour Hotel, a member of Radisson Individuals is a 157-key hotel with a combination of 137 guest rooms and 20 apartments. It features an à la carte restaurant, a wine and cocktail bar, and a rooftop area. Also a Radisson Individuals property, the 90-room Magic Hotel Bergen City Centre will offer a bar and restaurant. It is located around 100 metres from the UNESCO-listed World Heritage harbour. The two additional Prize by Radisson properties will include Solheimsviken Bergen, a 217-room hotel in the business district and Xhibition Bergen City, a 55-room property near the Grieghallen congress centre. Jon Arild Hellebust, group director of Magic Norway AS, said: “With an increasing number of international visitors to Norway and business travellers seeking renowned hotel groups, we have great confidence that our collaboration with Radisson Hotel Group will bring excellent results. “Radisson Hotel Group has a strong presence in several key markets, offers a range of solid brands, and presents itself very professionally in all contexts. As the first hotels in Norway and the Nordic region to launch these new concepts, we believe this will generate significant interest from guests and clients.” Ellie Younes, executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson said: “We are thrilled to announce these additions to our portfolio in Norway, marking a significant milestone in our journey in the Nordics. “We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with Magic Norway AS and are grateful for their trust in our brands. These new signings represent our relentless dedication to providing exciting opportunities and possibilities to our guests and owners.” Adela Cristea, vice president of business development for northern and western Europe at Radisson, added: “I’m delighted that with these signings, we are returning to our Scandinavian roots and expanding our footprint in Norway with the introduction of the first Radisson Individuals and Prize by Radisson hotels. “Bergen’s breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture align perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional experiences in extraordinary destinations. With these new properties, we are now represented with five hotels and three exciting brands in Bergen.” Elsewhere in the Nordics, the group has a total of 50 hotels in operation or under development across brands including Radisson Collection, Radisson Blu, Radisson RED, Radisson, and Park Inn by Radisson.
