The global restaurant group has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s MJS Holding to expand their portfolio into the region.
Founded in 2002 by Co-Founders Rainer Becker and Arjun Waney, the Azumi Group opened their first restaurant Zuma, in London. Quickly expanding, the pair launched ROKA in 2004 followed by Oblix that opened in 2013 in The Shard. Azumi now has 26 restaurants across the world and the partnership with Mohammed Jawa’s MJS Holding is the perfect opportunity to expand their presence into the Middle East.
Sven Koch, Chief Executive Officer of the Azumi Group commented on the partnership: “We are delighted to join forces with Mohammed Jawa. As we continue to expand our international footprint, it is important for us find likeminded partners.”
“Since the inception of Zuma, in 2002, it inspired me to create great experiences with food, service and atmosphere. 2011 was when my initial partnership interest was piqued! I guess everything happens at the right time, for a reason. It is a great honour and pleasure to be part of the Zuma family.” added Mohammed Jawa, Founder of MJS Holding.
