Moroccan coffee brand Bacha Coffee has opened its first Japanese flagship in Tokyo’s Ginza district, marking a significant step in its global expansion.

The flagship occupies a three-storey site in Ginza 5-chome, one of Tokyo’s most competitive luxury retail precincts. Covering 377sq m, the space combines a ground-floor retail boutique with two upper-level coffee rooms, positioning the location as both a retail and hospitality destination.

Design cues draw on Bacha Coffee’s origins at Dar el Bacha in Marrakech, adapted for the Japanese market through the use of red ochre tones, black-and-white chequered flooring, geometric lattice details and carved cedar wood.

The Ginza location carries more than 200 varieties of 100 per cent Arabica coffee sourced from 35 countries, including Yemen, Ethiopia, Jamaica and Hawaii. The range includes single-origin coffees, blends, flavoured options and Naturally CO2 Decaffeinated coffees.
