Bape Unveils Hong Kong Flagship

Streetwear brand A Bathing Ape (Bape) has opened a new flagship store at 1881 Heritage in Hong Kong, introducing a redesigned retail concept that blends fashion and food.

The Bape Store 1881 Heritage features a curved LED screen that anchors the storefront, displaying animations inspired by the city’s neon signage.

Inside, the space adopts an all-white interior paired with colour-changing LED ceiling lights and glass partitions patterned with Bape’s signature motifs. A fibreglass Shark Sejin sculpture, designed to resemble stone, serves as a focal point within the store.

Alongside the retail launch, Bape has expanded into hospitality through a partnership with Tokyo-based pancake brand Flipper’s. The collaboration introduces Bape Cafe, located within the flagship.

The cafe integrates Bape’s ABC camo visuals with Flipper’s minimalist aesthetics, including wooden finishes, terrazzo flooring and Modernica x Bape camo fibreglass chairs. Indoor and outdoor dining areas are also included as part of the concept.

Its menu features signature souffle pancakes alongside savoury dishes, specialty drinks and desserts incorporating Bape’s Baby Milo branding.
