Japanese apparel label Beams is launching an e-commerce site in North America, marking its entry into the market.
According to Nikkei, the online store will sell the brand’s original products as well as those from other companies. It will be operated by local subsidiary Beams America, which was established in collaboration with Pacific Fashion last September.
The brand plans to open a pop-up store in Los Angeles from 7 March to 20 April and is eyeing a brick-and-mortar location in the US in the future.
“We are finally ready to establish a base in the US at a major milestone as we celebrate our 50th anniversary next year,” Beams President Yo Shitara told Nikkei. “We are looking forward to the chemical reaction that will be born from the fusion of our respective cultures,” he added.
