Boodles to Relocate in 2026

The company has announced its upcoming relocation from 178 New Bond Street to 23 Old Bond Street in the summer of 2026.

The move marks a significant moment in the brand’s development, as the flagship showroom will become ‘The Boodles Townhouse’. It reflects the continued growth of the business as well as the ambitions of the sixth generation of the family. At the helm of the business are cousins James Amos and Jody Wainwright, who became joint Managing Directors in March 2024. They represent the sixth generation of the family, working alongside their cousins, twins and Directors of the business, Honour and Geordie Wainwright, children of Chairman Michael Wainwright and nephews to Nicholas Wainwright, President of the company. The head office of the business remains in Liverpool to this day, where it was first established in 1798.

The new premises total approximately 13,000sq ft across six floors, an increase from the current 8,250sq ft showroom. The additional space will accommodate the company’s growing teams and expanding departments in the heart of Mayfair, as well as providing multiple entertainment areas and additional retail space.

This next chapter comes at a time of exciting momentum across all areas of the business. The London bespoke design team, established just four years ago, now includes two full-time designers. In Liverpool, the design department has grown from four to six permanent staff. The move will also see part of the production team based in London for the first time in the company’s 226 years, supporting its five showrooms in the capital city and its growing international activity. In the past year, the marketing department has expanded exponentially, with the appointment of a Head of Sustainability, a dedicated social media representative and an increase in the content and branding team from two to five. Excluding the Covid year, Boodles’ overall headcount has increased by 32 per cent in the past five years.

“We are very excited about our upcoming move to 23 Old Bond Street. The property, currently occupied by Stella McCartney, will become ‘The Boodles Townhouse’. The building will act as a global flagship store for Boodles, allowing opportunities for expansion of the business across multiple floors of retail experience, client entertainment and office space. It will also support the ambitious plans of the next generation of our family to be running the family business,” said James Amos, Managing Director of Boodles.
