Bullgogi to Open UK’s Largest Korean BBQ Restaurant

The premium Korean BBQ concept from Maguro Group, Bullgogi is set to open the UK’s largest Korean BBQ restaurant at 6A Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester on Friday 10 October 2025.

From the team behind cult Korean street food brand Bunsik, which opened to huge demand at Piccadilly Gardens in 2023, comes Bullgogi Korean Grill. The new restaurant will bring a lively, interactive Korean BBQ experience to the city, with guests cooking, sharing and dining together around the tabletop grills. The Manchester site marks the second Bullgogi, following the first in Notting Hill Gate, London, which opened in 2019.

The name Bullgogi blends Bull, a symbol of strength and vitality, with Gogi, the Korean word for meat. With 165 covers, Bullgogi Manchester will be the largest Korean BBQ restaurant in the UK. Each booth will feature a digital interactive menu, with mounted tablets allowing guests to explore dishes and order seamlessly.

The kitchen will be led by South Korean-born chef Hans Boo, who brings over a decade of culinary expertise and a passion for sharing authentic Korean flavours with his guests. The Manchester team will be overseen by General Manager Kadi Voolaine, who has been part of Bullgogi in London for over three years and now takes on the leadership of the new Northern site.
